" These paintings, titled 'Rabies' describe a state that leads to death. It is not an image of death itself, but rather depicts a process within the brain and body that ultimately drives the patient to the end of life—an expressive articulation of the suffering imposed upon the patient. When I represented my portraits in this manner, I was reminded of the self-portraits created by painters of past eras. This time, however, the mirror is the surface of my canvas: a sheet infected with disease, pain, and death. "

Sogand Nabi
1985 , Gorgan, Iran doğumludur. Sanat eğitimine görsel sanatlar lisesi resim bölümünde başlamıştır. Birçok kişisel ve grup sergisine katılmıştır. İran ve Türkiye-İstanbul arasında bulunan atölyelerinde üretimine devam etmektedir.
